Wild Blueberry + Chocolate Mousse

I love a 'mystery box' challenge (like the ones on Masterchef or Ready Steady Cook). It's fun coming up with ways to combine ingredients to create something delicious. So I love it when I receive a box of the latest products to play around with.

I came up with this Wild Blueberry + Chocolate Mousse using ingredients from this month's GoodnessMe Box. It's a vegan, dairy-free mousse made with avocado and cacao powder as the base, then I sweetened it with Pureharvest Coco2 Original Spread and infused it with a sachet of Blackmores Wild Blueberry Superfood Powder (both included in the box). 

If you haven't tried avocado chocolate mousse before, just give it a go and see what you think. The key is to add big flavours (like cacao) so you don't taste the avocado and purée it well so it's velvety smooth. The addition of the Wild Blueberry Superfood Powder adds a nice twist. 

Wild Blueberry + Chocolate Mousse

Gluten-free | Vegan | Nut-free


For the mousse:


  • Fresh or frozen blueberries
  • Coconut flakes
  • 1 square of dark (85% or 90% cocoa) chocolate, chopped


  1. Blend all of the mousse ingredients together in a food processor or using a stick blender until smooth.
  2. To serve, spoon into a bowl and top with blueberries, coconut flakes and chopped chocolate.
  3. Store in the fridge if there are any leftovers (I ate all of mine!).

Serves 1.

* If you don't have these ingredients, you could use rice malt syrup, honey or pure maple syrup instead of the Coco2 Spread and just leave out the Wild Blueberry Powder.
